The mid-year Artillery Lunch was held at Club City (City of Sydney RSL). Thirty members and partners sat down to an enjoyable luncheon that was organised by Laurie Manning. The luncheon’s planned guest was unable to join us as he was in France representing Chief of Army and supervising the re-burial of Australian soldiers at Fromelles.
The Luncheon provides an opportunity to get together in the middle of the year, especially those members who are unable to attend the Gunner Dinner.
Schon Condon, our association president, took the opportunity to update the gathering on events within army and the corps.
· Circumstances have changed and the local gun regiments will continue with the 105mm equipment until 2013.
· The Adaptive Army re-organisation is streamlining the training flow from operations back into units preparing to deploy and those in Forces Command.
