Your association needs your interest to revitalize the committee and to assist with the organization of activities.
The current association was constituted in August 1948 and has provided a service to gunners and the regiment for the last seventy-five years and looks forward to continuing with new membership from current and retiring gunners.

Without a strong artillery presence in the state, the nature and composition of the membership may need to be altered to promote the regiment and its achievements. On reflection, the first mention of ‘an association’, was 155 years ago. It was reported in both the Sydney Morning Herald and The Empire on Tuesday, 5 Nov 1867.

The association of the day conducted a Gun Match between the colony’s Garrison Gunners using the cannon at Dawes’ Battery. Life around the Rocks must have been quite interesting in those days, not to mention the target area off Circular Quay.

Put the date in your diary and make a point of coming along. We need your support and interest.
