Memorial Walkway

The association supports the Memorial Walkway. In 2005 the association placed a major sponsor paver in the memorial walk at North Fort as a result of the generous donations of members.

The Memorial Walk commences near the Defence of Sydney Memorial and is a gently graded walkway that meanders through the headland scrub, providing views of the harbour and down the southern coastline. The walk provides an opportunity for visitors to pause at the commemorative stations to the gunners of the Colonial, World War 1, World War 2, Post-WW2 (Malaya, Borneo, Vietnam) eras, and their involvement in Peacekeeping Operations.

It also provides a practical way by which families and friends can acquire an individual paver on behalf of gunners past and present.

In 2007 the association broadened its support by raising funds to complete the stonework, signage and finish of the Post-WW2 Commemorative Station.
