“Annual Golfers’ Challenge”

The rescheduled 2019 RAA Association and Condon Advisory Group Charity Golf Day was held on 31st October 2019, in glorious weather and fabulous company. Twelve Teams competed for either the RAA Association Shield for the service teams, or the Condon Associates Corporate Shield for the non-service teams. The day was ultimately another resounding success, which raised, including donations, a grand total of $5,100. This now brings the total amount raised by this event to just over $40,000. We are hopeful that our contribution will continue to grow over coming years.This was the sixth year that the RAA Association Shield was competed for by all Defence personnel, as well as Defence member organisations.

Winners on the day were Fairfield RSL Sub Branch for the RAAA (NSW) Shield and Team Mix-Ups  for the Condon Associates Group Trophy. We certainly congratulate them on their achievements; but we must acknowledge that general consensus was that all who played were in fact winners having had such a wonderful day in what must be described as perfect conditions.

The 2020 RAA Association and Condon Advisory Group Golf Day will take place on September 3rd. The details for next year’s event, when the new "owners" of the Shield and Trophy will be challenged, will be advised on the Associations website and in Gunfire in 2020.
