ANZAC DAY MARCH (City of Sydney)

The march starts in Elizabeth Street and proceeds south to Museum Station, turning left into Liverpool Street for dismissal.

Post WW2 Gunners including Reserve Associations will assemble near the corner of Bent & Phillip Streets. Depending on the turnout, units will form up in Bent and Phillip Streets (on the Northern side of Bent St).

As the March commences, contingents will move from the forming up point along Phillip St, through the Hunter St intersection into Elizabeth St, then down to the March Start, which is located at the Martin Place - Elizabeth St intersection. The Band Marshall will allocate bands that will join the column from the right at Martin Place. The March then proceeds down Elizabeth Street, veterans will be seated prior to St James Station. The Act of Remembrance 'Eyes Left' is adjacent to the ANZAC Memorial and will be marked with a banner for the paying of compliments.

The March ends at Liverpool Street where Marshalls will allocate either a turn left up Liverpool St or to continue down Elizabeth St to the dispersal Point.

WW2 Army - Phillip St near the intersection with Hunter St.

Post WW2 - Phillip and Bent St extending West, 1030 hrs ready to start. Associations shouldhave bannersinthe area 30-45 mins prior to step off .

All Descendants of Veterans are grouped in King St extending West.

The post WW2 Artillery contingent will be led by the ROYAL REGIMENT OF AUSTRALIAN ARTILLERY BANNER that will act as a marshalling point for all Gunners whose units are not represented by an association banner.

Please register your attendance on arrival with the RAA Association Table:

  • Collect a self-adhesive temporary name label
  • A contribution towards the reunion costa of $10n per head, Including teenagers 16 and over, will be collected at the door. The Association underwrites approximately 50% of the cost.
  • You can also take out Membership of the Association and receive your Association Badge and the next 3 issues of Gunfire at the discounted rate of $25.

Mixed Sandwiches and Turkish Bread and Dips will be available on arrival. From 1330 onwards Canapes will be provided via butler service throughout the afternoon. Drinks will be available from a dedicated bar at club prices. Patrons wishing a more substantial meal can avail themselves of the Club's facilities.
