This year marked the 75th anniversary of the Kokoda Track camapign in Papua New Guinea in WWII. The campaign consisted of a series of battles fought from July to November 1942, between Japanese and mainly Australian forces.

Again due to the closure of George Street, because of the construction of the Light Rail, the March this year proceeded south down Elizabeth Street, turning left into Liverpool street and dismissing near the Sydney War Memorial in Hyde Park.
